Career Opportunities at New Nchanga Smelter

Konkola Copper Mines pic invites suitably qualified, experienced and self motivated individuals to fill challenging jobs in the new Nchanga Smelter. The selected individuals will have the singular challenge of commissioning and operating Africa’s largest copper Smelter.
The new Nchanga Smelter will use the Direct to Blister Process (DBP), with an installed capacity of 300,000 metric tonnes of anode copper per annum. The smelter off-gas wil! be treated in a Double Contact Double Absorption (DCDA) Sulphuric Acid Plant to produce over 500,000 metric tonnnes of sulphuric acid per annum. Construction is progressing smoothly for commissioning in the first half of 2008.
