General Manager
Operation & Maintenance - Position code: GM(O&M)
The GM (O&M) will initially work out of NPCL’s corporate office at Bangalore and subsequently move to head the O&M department of the power project site at Udupi. He will be a qualified B.E., / B.Tech / M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering) with about 15 to 20 years of experience in carrying out O&M activities of 200MW to 500MW coal based power plants and in the last 5 years of his career should have independently handled the O&M activities of coal based power plants. He will oversee the following:
Technology transfer from EPC contractor / Main Plant Equipment Manufacturer,
Review of design and plant technical data and O&M manuals from the O&M perspective
Participate in progress review and construction review meetings and furnish relevant technical inputs
Supervise commissioning activities and ensure prudent commissioning practices
Build a team of O&M professionals and smooth take over of the generating asset
Well versed with commercial terms of fuel (coal & oil) contracts
Well versed with plant performance test, optimization of fuel utilization
Deputy General Manager
Corporate Legal - Position code: DGM(Legal) Place of posting: Bangalore
The DGM (Corporate Legal) will work from NPCL’s corporate office at Bangalore and be responsible for all legal matters concerned with NPCL’s affairs. He/She should have proven experience in briefing senior counsels, experience in appearing in High Courts and local courts, experience of solving litigations related to corporate matters, land acquisition related matters, labour issues, commercial contracts such as Power Purchase Agreements, EPC contracts, etc. The DGM (Corporate Legal) will have about 15 years of experience and should have a degree in Law from a reputed university.
Deputy General Manager - Position code: DGM(FC) Finance Cum Company Secretary
Place of posting: Bangalore
The DGM (FC) will work from NPCL’s corporate office at Bangalore and be responsible for all secretarial matters concerned. He shall be a Chartered Accountant with Company Secretary qualifications and should have 10 to 15 years proven experience as finance and company secretary professional from reputed companies. He shall be also proficient in Liaisoning with banks and financial institutions with regard to term loans/LCs and working capital .facilities.
Sr. Manager - (Position code: SM
Corporate Relations
Place of posting: Bangalore
The Sr. Manager (Corporate Relations) would be an expert on local PR activities, responsible for co-ordination between NPCL and government departments such as KIADB, KPTCL, ESCOMs, etc. and would be responsible for comprehensive PRO activities. He will be a qualified degree holder, well versed in dealing with officials of all faculties and protocols and should have proven previous experience of about 10 to 15 years PR skills and should be a go getter. He will also be responsible for PR activities at project site as and when required.
Manager - Position code: M(C&BD) Commercial & Business Development

The Manager - Commercial and Business Development should preferably be an MBA in Finance or Marketing preferably with a degree in engineering and should have the previous experience of business development and commercial activities in power sector. He should have about 5 to 8 years of experience dealing with commercial matters, preparation of bids and co-ordination with engineering, financial consultants and day to day coordination with power purchasers.

The Manager - Mechanical will be a mechanical1 engineer (B.E., or Diploma) with 6 to 10 years of experience, well versed with mechanical design, construction, commissioning and O&M aspects of power plants. Electrical - Position code: M(E) The Manager - Electrical will be an electrical engineer (B.E., or Diploma) with 6 to 10 years of experience, well versed with power plant electrical systems and auxiliary design, construction, commissioning and O&M aspects of power plants. Initially Manager - Electrical will work out of the corporate office of NPCL (Bangalore) and will subsequently move to project office and become member of O&M team.
Manager / Asst. Manager Control & Instrumentation - Position code: M(c&i) The Manager - C&t will be an electronics or instrumentation engineer (B.E., or Diploma) with 6 to 10 years of experience, well versed with power plant control and instrumentation systems and auxiliary design, 1 construction, commissioning and O&M aspects of power 1 plants. Initially, Manager - C&l will work out of the corporate ; office of NPCL (Bangalore) and will subsequently move ! to project office and become member of O&M team.
Manager / Asst. Manager ; Civil - Position code: M©
The Manager - Civil will be a Civil and Structural engineer; (B.E., or Diploma) with 6 to 10 years of experience, well versed with power plant foundations, design of structures, piping, roads, bridges etc. related to the power plant and will work from the corporate office of NPCL (Bangalore) and will subsequently move to project office and become member of O&M team.
Manager / Asst. Manager - Position code: M (SHE) Safety, Health and Environment
The Manager - SHE will preferably be an environmental. Engineer or Civil engineer (B.E., or Diploma) with.-6 To 10 years of experience, well versed with safety’ aspects of power plants, health related issues and environmental issues of power plant should be able to co-ordinate with State Pollution Control Boards, Safety Inspectorates etc and become member of O&M team.
Accounts Officers - Position code: AO
