ABB has recently, in October 2006, completed the design and engineering of topside modules for Devon Energy's FPSO (Floating Production Storage Offloading) Polvo. ABB Lummus Global Singapore was responsible for this project which was awarded by Prosafe Services Pte Ltd Singapore in November 2005.
ABB Lummus Global performed the design and engineering activities in Singapore, engaging about 50 personnel at the peak. ABB's work execution philosophy was based on 3-dimensional PDMS (Plant Design Management System) modelling which facilitated a clash-free design to suit the fast track schedule of 14 months for the FPSO sail-away.

A consortium formed by Techint Uruguay, Techint Argentina and ABB Lummus has won a contract to expand Uruguay's La Teja Refinery on behalf of state oil company Ancap. The estimated US$120mn work program will begin in February.
Expansion will take La Teja's production from 37,000 barrels per day (bpd) via the construction of a new 12,000-bpd regeneration unit, a 6,000-bpd isomerization unit and an 18,000-bpd hydro-treatment plant.
