British High Commission
Senior Programme Manager for Climate Change, Energy & Sustainable Development
Programme Management Department at the British High Commission serves as a cross-departmental resource for management of UK Government funded programmes and projects. We are looking for an outgoing, self - motivated, creative and adaptable individual to manage the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Global Opportunities Fund Climate Change and Energy (CCE) and Sustainable Development (SD) Programmes. This position is on a one-year contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of management of the Programmes in India, including:
• Identifying project concepts which support the UK Government’s International Strategic Priorities.
• Developing project concepts into full project bids and critically analysing project bids received from external organisations.
• Co-ordinating annual bidding rounds to select suitable projects.
• Meeting and building relationships with key stakeholders and potential project partners (including relevant Government Ministries in UK and India, think tanks, industry associations, civil society and other donors).
Monitoring project progress and spend, assessing whether project outcomes contribute to the objectives of the Programme and evaluating the impact of each project and of the Programme as a whole. Reporting on programme progress to the Climate Change and Energy Group colleagues in London.
Candidates should:
• Hold a masters degree in a subject relevant to the CCE Programme with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience. Some experience of project and/or programme management is preferable.
• Have good understanding of global climate change and energy security issues and how they affect/impact India.
• Have sound financial management experience/skills and previous experience of line management.

The British High Commission in New Delhi is looking for creative and dynamic individuals to join their global E-Media team, which manages and supports the online web presence of the UK's Foreign & Commonwealth Office around the world. The team will be responsible for the Africa and parts of Asia Division and has the following positions vacant:
1. Regional Web Manager (1 position)
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage editorial and basic technical support for content managers across the region.
• Co-ordinate the branding and marketing of interactive features ie. blogs, forums, and Really Simple Syndication
Electronic Board Design
• Design and development of high speed digital boards / systems based on teiecom and networking technologies using specialty ASICs e.g. Framers / Mappers / MACs / Network Processors etc., high performance microcontrollers e.g. Motorola Power PC/QUICC, high speed memories e.g. DDR-1/2, RLDRAM-II, and high density Xilinx / Altera FPGAs etc.
