Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for maintaining entire accounts in respect of construction of SDM Dental college project cost of which was around Rs.3 crores and SDM Engg College Hostel project worth Rs.1 crore.
• Maintenance of accounts of all sub-contractors who were given piecework.
• Cross verification of measurement bills submitted by Engineers in respect of work completed with values for settlement of advance taken by sub-contractors.
• Submission of weekly report to the management pertaining to accounts of work-in-progress.
Achievements
• Sub-contractors accounts were not settled for the advance taken since considerable time and bills submitted were not accounted. This was set right.
• For making labour payment sub-contractors were taking weekly advance and bills were not prepared in time. They were informed to submit bills in time i.e. before taking next advance for which they adhered to.
• Bank transactions were not reconciled and same was updated and reconciled;

Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for maintenance of accounts with special reference to collection of fee from students and also other day today miscellaneous fees.
• Counselling of students for admission to BDS, MDS ands verification of original documents and also issue of admission applications to selected students.
• Looking after deduction of contribution to employees provident fund from employees salary and remittance of same to provident fund office along with equal contribution from employer. Correspondence with provident fund office in respect of partial withdrawls, claims settlement and papers relating to the pension fixation in case of death of the employee. Filing annual returns in respect of every employee in prescribed forms.
• Responsible for calculation of Income Tax deduction from the salary of the employees i.e. TDS and monthly remittance to Central Government account. Filing of annual returns in prescribed forms with IT Dept and issue of Form No 16 to employees.
• Making correspondence with students’ parents for recovery of fees dues and also with various government offices for reimbursement of fees in respect of SC/ST students.
Preparation of Budget Estimates and monitoring their allocations including
Analysis of variances with causes.
Achievements
• Total collections of fees were enhanced due to imposition of fine for late remittance of fees.
• Good rapport was maintained with both the Staff and Students and excellent relationship was established.
Budget variance analysis with causes has helped to curb the unwanted
Expenditure and thereby it saved substantial amount to the organisation.
